Consultations are by appointment only but urgent requests are given priority.
Ask My GP is open from 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday
Appointments can be made by completing an Ask My GP form here. All requests are triage by a GP and patients will be contacted by return message, video consultation, telephone consultation or a face to face consultation. Any patients who do not have internet access can telephone reception and the request will be put into ASK MY GP by the receptionist. No consultations will be booked by the receptionist. However, if an urgent appointment is requested at any time, this will be dealt with immediately.
Although you can request a particular GP, this is not always possible and you may be assigned to a different GP.
Remember that a face-to-face consultation is not always necessary. If you would like to book a telephone consultation with a doctor or nurse please ask a receptionist.
Patients' Requests
Wherever possible we will try to accede to any patient's request to see a particular doctor. if we cannot, we will explain why. We can also provide a chaperone on request; please ask at reception. Situations where the presence of chaperone may be appropriate are explained here (PDF, 65KB).
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you can not make your appointment let us know as soon as you can so another patient can book the appointment time. You can cancel or change your appointment:
If you need help when we are closed
- Use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111. 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
- Out of hours information
- If it’s a life-threatening emergency call 999.

Home Visits
Patients are expected to attend the surgery wherever possible. Please telephone the surgery before 10.00am if requesting a visit the same day. The receptionist will ask for details of the patient, a contact number and the reason for the visit. Please note that lack of transport is not a valid reason for a visit.
