  • Repeat Prescriptions

    You can now order your repeat prescription online using EMIS Patient Access.  Please ring the receptionist for details. No prescription requests should be made via Ask My GP.

Welcome To The Practice

We have a clinical pharmacist working with the practice, his name is Omar and he is employed by our PCN (a group of GP practices in Hindley, Platt Bridge and Ince working together). If you receive a text message inviting you to have a telephone consultation with Omar, please be reassured he is working with the practice and the message is genuine.

We also have a physiotherapist working at the practice. The Gp will refer you for a consultation if appropriate.

CAN WE PLEASE ASK PATIENTS NOT TO ATTEND SURGERY UNLESS IT IS NECESSARY.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES REGARDING PRESCRIPTIONS, APPOINTMENTS OR ANY GENERAL QUESTIONS, PLEASE RING THE SURGERY BEFORE ATTENDING.  A LARGE NUMBER OF PRESCRIPTIONS GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR NOMINATED PHARMACY, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COME INTO SURGERY TO CHECK, GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR PHARMACY FIRST.  IF YOU ARE UNSURE PLEASE RING US FIRST AND THE RECEPTIONIST WILL BE ABLE TO ADVISE YOU, SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND SURGERY UNNECESSARILY.

FACE MASK IN SURGERY

IF YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED TO ATTEND THE SURGERY FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DOCTOR OR THE PRACTICE NURSE, PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 5 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. 

PLEASE WEAR A FACE MASK AT ALL TIMES IN THE BUILDING.

A MEMBER OF STAFF WILL CHECK YOUR TEMPERATURE AS YOU BEFORE YOU CAN COME INTO THE WAITING ROOM.

IF YOU HAVE A HIGH TEMPERATURE, OR A NEW CONTINUOUS COUGH, YOU NEED TO SELF-ISOLATE FOR 7 DAYS AND MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD NEED TO SELF-ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS.  IF YOU NEED ADVICE OR HELP PLEASE GO ONLINE TO NHS.UK OR CONTACT 111.  IF YOU NEED TO CONTACT THE SURGERY FOR ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE RING.

This is open from 8am until 6.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Monday 8.00am - 8.00pm
Tuesday 8.00am - 6.30pm
Wednesdays 8.00am - 6.30pm
Thursday 8.00am - 8.00pm
Friday 8.00am - 6.30pm

Hindley Health Centre is part of Wigan GP Alliance.  Wigan GP Alliance offer appointments with a GP between 6.30pm and 8.00pm weekdays and 10.00am to 4.00pm at weekends.  Please ring 01942 482848 to make an appointment.

Extended Hours

In addition to the above opening hours we are able to offer all our patients the convenience of the following extra surgeries held at Hindley Health Centre:

Late evening each Monday and Thursday from 6.30 - 8.00pm (Dr appointments available both evenings from 6.30 - 7.30pm, Nurse appointments available Monday evening 6.30 - 7.30pm).

Online Appointments

You can now book your appointments online! The Practice is pleased to provide patients with access to its Clinical System via a Secure Web Interface.

To use EMIS Patient Access you will need a Practice ID number and Access ID number which is obtained from the practice, and, in conjunction with a password, will be unique to you.

Disabled Access

Four disabled car parking spaces are available at the rear of Hindley Health Centre, which is accessed immediately by the bus stop on Liverpool Road.

Hindley Health Centre is included in the area governed by the NHS Greater Manchester. In addition to this Dr Tun & Partners is a member practice of Wigan Borough Clinical Commissioning Group.
